Providing flexible seating options to my kindergartners will help them stay focused on learning while sitting in a spot that is comfortable for them. Since it is often their first time in a classroom, I want to make the transition from home to school as easy as possible for my students. Offering flexible seating during carpet time, whole group instruction, and independent centers will empower my students with choices, and help them be more alert and focused for learning. My students love wobble cushions and often request them during a read-aloud. Clipboards will help allow us to take learning outside. Students will be able to bounce at their desk with fidget bands that attach to their desk or chair. Stackable stools and floor cushions will also give my students options for learning in small groups around the room. My students will look forward to rotating from their desks to these new seats with your donation. As an added bonus, I've chosen items that are easy to clean and colorful. Our classroom will be given more choices, provide more comfort, and build more community with the items in this project. Thank you for considering my project!
