My students need an iPad with a keyboard in order for them to type their essays and learn better grammar skills. The keyboard also acts as a case to ensure that the iPad remains in good condition and to keep them protected while students are using them for educational opportunities. Using iPads would allow them to complete research papers for informational writing and expository texts. Additionally, they will be able to go on different therapist approved websites and apps to define a word, look up synonyms and antonyms, and play games that assist with their grammar. Furthermore, I intend on using the pen pan school website this year, where my students will be able to strengthen their reading and writing abilities, while learning different topics alongside students in other schools. This website pairs my students with students across the globe, and they will learn the same topic together, and gain insight on how other students their age think. However, we won't be able to engage in this without the appropriate means. As my students come from low income homes, they don't have these abilities often, and I am trying to give them all I can.
