Bird's Eye View Rocket
Funded Sep 11, 2025We are so happy that our local Wasatch launches will features Bird's eye views of the earth from the rocket payload. These unique experiences make learning more engaging for our students and give them opportunities to stretch learning even further! Please know that we are so thankful for your continued support.”

Funded Sep 7, 2025You have been such an inspiration and wonderful support over all the years. We never dreamed that students would get an airplane and flight simulation system, let alone that we are now upgrading to a more modern and realistic set. These generous gifts are used by countless cohorts and have given students the foundations of flight that they use as real pilots today!”

Mr. Bryant
Realistic Flight Yoke!
Funded Sep 3, 2025This excellent upgraded yoke will help in our flight lab so students have a better experience flying. The immersive experience is enhanced when the peripherals they use are more realistic, responsive, and comfortable for students to control. We hope to see more future Beehive kids become pilots like those that came before them. Thank you for all your support over the many years we’ve had the flight program here!”

Mr. Bryant
Multi-Display Setups for Future Coders
Funded May 9, 2023Thanks to your generous contributions, our robotics students have been able to take their coding and programming skills to the next level with a dual-monitor setup in a vertical orientation. This technology has been a game-changer, allowing students to write and debug code more efficiently while keeping reference materials, schematics, or live simulations visible at the same time. The ability to seamlessly navigate between different aspects of their programming work has greatly improved their workflow and problem-solving capabilities.
Our students and mentors use these monitors daily as they collaborate on programming, troubleshoot robot functions, and refine their code. The vertical orientation is especially helpful when reviewing long lines of code, making it easier to spot errors and optimize performance. Many students who were initially hesitant about coding have become more engaged and confident, simply because they now have a setup that supports their learning in a professional and practical way. Your generosity has not only provided essential tools but has also fueled inspiration and innovation within our robotics teams. We are incredibly grateful for your support in helping our students develop real-world skills that will serve them well in their futures!”

Funded Oct 10, 2023Your amazing generosity will make worthwhile projects like this continue to inform and shape student learning inside, and in this case in the great outdoors of our classroom. These sorts of experiences become embedded in memory and make for more meaningful, and hands-on learning. Much more effective than lecture. We are so grateful for your support, your care, and you making all our education endeavors a reality!”

Funded Oct 31, 2022We have been so fortunate to study Newton's 3 laws of motion outside of the classroom and theory but with real practice outside and high above the earth! Our FLight and Space students cheered when they found out their rockets weren't just examples in a textbook, but real models that would experience Max Q, MECO, and other terminology that SpaceX and NASA use in real rocket launches. Students will extend their learning by building more robust recovery systems and adding more power to their next iteration of rockets. We are looking forward to going higher and higher!”

Robotics Programming Machines
Funded Nov 12, 2022We cannot express our gratitude enough for your generosity in providing MacBook laptops for our robotics students. Your support will have a profound impact on their education and future careers.
The students will use the laptops to write and test their code, troubleshoot issues, and improve their mission programs on the Lego Board through iterative development. With this new technology, our students will have the necessary tools to further their coding skills and take their robotics projects to the next level.
Your kindness will give our students valuable hands-on experience and help them grow as problem-solvers and critical thinkers. Technology in the classroom allows our students to develop and apply 21st-century skills such as collaboration, communication, critical thinking and creativity.
The students are incredibly excited about the ability to run new routes for their missions as we prepare for our next competition in March. These Macbooks allow them to see the immediate results of their coding efforts. They are also able to easily collaborate with their classmates and share their ideas.
We have seen a number of students step up and take a leadership role in their projects, truly thriving with this new technology at their fingertips. Additionally, we are proud to announce that our robotics team was able to win the Champion's Award at a state qualifier and will be competing at the State Championship.
Thank you again for your generosity and for making a real difference in the lives of our students. Your investment in their education will have a lasting impact and will help shape the future leaders of our communities.”

Control Stick and Lithium Fuel for FPV Jet Pilots!
Funded Feb 5, 2022My students were blown away when they first unpacked the Control Stick. Some of my students have even flown planes with yokes or control sticks, and they say this feels similar!
My students' next step is to calculate altitude in Math class using linear functions and proportionality. They can use a slope of a line on a graph with a current altitude and extrapolate their altitude at a later time by continuing on the same slope. This helps prepare them for linear function units, and later exponential function units in their 8th-grade math class.
Because they have hands-on tools and instruments that let them fly outside, grasping abstract math concepts becomes more usable and tangible to them. A real-life lesson. Thank you for all your support and care when aiding my classroom!”

Funded Feb 3, 2022Our students are so excited about being able to fly with a VR experience. They are so familiar with new interfaces like Meta Oculus, so this control configuration is nice for them to adapt to. They really like to get lost in the display that mounts to their heads.
They're able to learn many essential factors of flight like: Radio Frequency strength, Satellite connectivity for 'return to home' function and GPS coordinates, time remaining correlated to remaining lithium fuel for flight, dynamic battery life depending on headwinds/tailwinds, camera resolution, Framerate, current rate/ speed in mph or m/s, altitude and AGL numbers using lidar sensors, distance from home, map readings, input sensitivity, etc.
Some of my students who enjoy video games were really able to participate and enjoy some technical aspects of flight when the setting was more in line with what they are familiar with. What an amazing journey these students are on.”

Funded May 28, 2022We are so thankful for your continued support in all our classroom endeavors. These tools, instruments, and simulators give students an opportunity to truly experience Aerospace as a pilot, astronaut, scientist, or passenger might. We have had so much fun these past couple of years. Please know how much your generosity means to our school!”
