As the gifted/talented teacher, I work with students who qualify and deserve an enriched curriculum that allows for imagination and creative growth. One of my goals this year is to help provide these students a Maker Space within our classroom that is filled with LEGO sets to promote creative thought and challenging Lego tasks and designs. STEM activities provide opportunities for students to engage in hands-on discovery invention and investigative scientific concepts. I have the dream of creating a space that allows for the total STEM process. These spaces with LEGO sets can allow for the engineering design process as my students imagine new concepts and make connections.
