Reading for pleasure has been linked time and time again to higher academic performance in students of all backgrounds. My students read an average of 15-20 minutes every day to expand their vocabulary, enrich their cultural knowledge, and build their academic stamina. Our classroom library is in severe disrepair, and we desperately need new books. It consists of books I purchase personally, or have donated from friends, but many of the books are around 15 years old and are falling apart. I try to replenish them as well as I can, but my abilities are being outpaced by student wear and time. Please help and thank you!

About my class
