I love teaching my K-8th graders in our small river community! My students are motivated, resourceful, and independent learners who are always hungry for more! Our challenges include: living and working off the grid, keeping up with technological demands, and fending off bears on occasion! We strive to provide a variety of activities and programs despite our remote location. If you talk to our students they will tell you that their favorite activities include: Tinkering Studio, Maker's Workshop, Creek Studies, River Olympics, and field trips. My students thrive when they are given learning opportunities that require to think critically and be independent learners. Then again, don't we all?
