My students will use these primary journals to practice writing daily. Students will be able to write and draw about things that we've learned in class as well as use their imagination to write their own stories. Outside of school, students may not always have an opportunity to write and draw and create. For an hour during our writing block, students may practice reading, writing, and spelling and bringing their writings to life. So many of my students are use to technology and using cell phones, video games, and computers. I want my students to be able to write and think creatively! These journals will teach them that we can have fun with just a pencil and some paper!
