Flexible Seating will be used in my classroom to provide a comfortable seating environment for students who need a little extra time to get their wiggles out. Being able to move slightly while sitting can help students develop stamina, refocus on learning, and integrate sensory functions. When students find comfortable seating throughout the classroom, especially portable seating, they get movement in their bodies which helps with better focus on learning. Students can use these flexible seating options in all subject areas, whole group work, small groups, and also independent work.
