My students want to learn, they just need high interest materials that are contemporary, engaging and exciting. My students come from a high poverty area, and many of them are the first that will graduate from high school in their family. In order to help give them a successful start in life, they need a chance to be exposed to as many types of novels and stories as possible, to let them see what else is out there in the world, waiting for them after they graduate.

About my class
