Hello there! My school is located on a military installation that fosters children from different backgrounds, experiences, and educational endeavors. Within my classroom, students are exposed to many different cultures, backgrounds, and ways of life from moving consistently. Within my classroom we lack some of the basic essentials to create a positive and exciting learning environment. Reading can be a challenging skill to succeed at for second graders, especially when they lack the necessary materials in their classroom. I want to provide my students with a rich learning climate that provides them with a variety of books, literacy centers, and tools needed for them to be successful and enjoy the learning process. Your contribution will not only help the 25 students I currently have, but my classes in the future!
