When reading is challenging it can feel impossible to get lost in a book. My students need books that will suck them in so much that they are excited to be challenged and want to keep reading even if it is hard. Having these high-interest book sets that I have chosen based on series my students have shown interest in will help them to find the perfect book to get lost in at home and at school. This extra motivation will help them get the practice they need to reach grade level in reading this year. It will also help them to develop their literary palate and know what kind of books to look out for in the library.
