My goal is to get students actively creating in as many ways as possible to expand their knowledge and skills in the art world. These materials can enhance our exploration and discovery in the classroom, help implement ideas we've discussed in our lessons and much more. In a material-based classroom, materials are essential. Having the materials listed will help achieve my goal of diversifying our projects by giving students outlets, problems to solve and interests they hadn't considered before. New lessons with these materials could also help encourage confidence and creativity that they can take with them throughout their academic life. The materials provided can be used in a multitude of ways; from reinforcing art history, diving into contemporary lessons and creating original artworks of our own design.
