Being a special education teacher I wear many hats within my school. I work one-on-one with my resource students, I work collaboratively within other classrooms, I provide intense phonics instruction to at-risk students, and a reading club that will provide students with the opportunity to develop Passion Projects. In order to individualize instruction, resources are needed. Technology is an innovative way to bridge the gap to meet the needs of all of my students. With Chromebooks, I will be able to personalize my students learning. All students have individualized learning needs; however, those with disabilities need support that targets their specific deficits. Chromebooks will help me support my students needs on all fronts. For my reading club, I will be able to provide them resources to research and work on their projects within the walls of my classroom. I have no other devices in my classroom other than my work computer. This will help all students be successful with their endeavors.
