My students are kind-hearted, brave and determined to learn English so they can be successful in their new lives in the USA. They are all learning English though some already speak multiple languages. My 60 plus students each have their own stories of what brought them to leave their home country. Many of them are refugees from countries like Iraq, Sudan, and Burma (Myanmar) and others have immigrated from Russia, Mexico, Vietnam and the Marshall Islands. They all attend our school in a high poverty area and many students do not have access to technology in their homes. In today's times they need both English proficiency and technology skills in their future endeavors.

About my class
