The books I have selected will become part of the classroom library to help teach children that their voices are powerful. Every book is chosen for engaging lessons on speaking out, using their voice, and helping them learn from a very young age that their body belongs to them and only them. These books will be part of weekly activities and read alouds on the power of assertive communication, healthy relationships and boundaries for abuse prevention for students with disabilities. Self advocacy is a skill they can carry with them the rest of their lifetime!
