I was thrilled to learn that this project had been fully funded. Before receiving these materials, the furniture in my classroom was very limited. Now, thanks to your support, the OT space at my school has been transformed into a more inclusive, engaging, and supportive environment for all students. The adapted seating options have made a noticeable difference during table-top activities—students who once struggled to remain seated and focused are now participating more consistently and with greater independence. They also love using the fidgets, which help them self-regulate and stay calm and attentive during both structured activities and transitions.\r\n\r\nOne of the best moments was the first time I introduced the sensory tunnel. The students were immediately drawn to it, and their faces lit up with excitement as they explored it for the first time. For some of the students with sensory processing challenges, the tunnel has become a safe and motivating tool that helps them reset and return to learning activities more regulated and ready to engage. These resources are already making a lasting impact on our daily routines and students' ability to access the curriculum in meaningful ways. Moving forward, we'll be incorporating these tools into individual therapy sessions as well as small group activities, helping students build the sensory-motor foundations they need for long-term success. Thank you for helping us create a space where every child feels supported and capable of learning.","fullyFundedDate":1744055179280,"projectUrl":"project/sensory-spaces-empowering-every-learner/9113074/","projectTitle":"Sensory Spaces: Empowering Every Learner","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Alyssa","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9923287_orig.jpg?crop=1179,1179,x0,y176&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1739475381450","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9923287"},{"teacherId":9912976,"projectId":9092111,"letterContent":"The toys donated to my classroom have helped to impact my students by having more hands on time. From the bottom of my heart, I truly appreciate your donation to our classroom. When the new resources arrived, the students were thrilled! They were excited to see the colorful charts, tactile materials, and interactive learning tasks. \r\n\r\nIt was heartwarming to see how much more engaged and confident they became in core academic activities. The new resources have been incredibly valuable in enhancing our daily math and reading learning. During math, we've been using the number search and find, the counting tasks, and the counting manipulatives. For reading, we use the phonics touch cards to help build student's foundational reading skills. We use the white boards during all academic times.\r\n\r\nIn addition to the new learning resources, our classroom is much more organized and accessible for students. Because of the rolling carts, hooks, and color-coded bins, everything has a place. This clear organization allows students to actively participate in their learning by effectively helping with set up and clean up.\r\n\r\nThis project provided students better access to curriculum and important learning objectives, while simultaneously increasing student engagement and learning. The project also supported students in taking ownership over their learning materials and classroom environment.
