My students are a part of the AVID program, which stands for Advancement Via Individual Determination. They have big dreams for their futures but need some support along the way. Many will be first-generation college students or belong to groups that are historically under-represented in higher education. They are challenged with rigorous college-prep classes and practice fundamental skills in Writing, Inquiry, Collaboration, Organization, and Reading in order to be the best students they can possibly be.
