My aquatic science class is a science elective in a high school with a very diverse population. Our school has a population with over 50% of the students receiving free and reduced meals. Most of the students cannot afford the luxury of a simple saltwater aquarium in their homes. This project gives them the chance to care for the sea creatures they learn about in my class.
