Our heart monitors will be used in multiple ways and different environments. Our students will used them in physical education class and physical activity programs before, during, and after-school. This tool will benefit and motivate our school community to continue staying physically active. Our students will use heart monitors to measure their moderate to vigorous physical activity. During PE, our scholars will use data to analyze how active they are in class. They will compare data to see how moderate and vigorous activity look like. Students will use heart monitors outside of school as well. During "Walk-to-School" programs, students will use these activity trackers to see how much of a difference physical activity makes outside of PE class. In addition, students will continue to use data outside of school to compare physical activity in and out of school. Students will also set fitness and activity goals to ensure they maintain a healthy lifestyle.
