Our school is an urban elementary school on the cusp of agricultural fields in the Salad Bowl Capital of the World. 76% of our students are English language learners, while 74% qualify for free or reduced lunch. These students come to school everyday eager and ready to learn. My goal is to create a space to facilitate this, focusing on the 4Cs (creativity, critical thinking, collaboration, and communication) and ensuring they are 21st-century ready with the skills needed for tomorrow's leaders. Just as important, I hope to create a safe and active space for developing young minds with strong foundations in reading, phonics, and math.
