I teach First Grade at an elementary school in Northeast Philadelphia. Our school population is 80% economically disadvantaged. Our school provides a nurturing environment for students, staff, and families to enrich educationally and grow as positive social contributors in our world. Our parents are extremely supportive and involved in their child's education, and strive to stay connected between home and school. Our parents and students aspire to succeed and achieve their goal of living the American Dream. Due to the School District of Philadelphia's financial crisis, ALL of our educational supplies, resources, and materials are either limited or non-existent.

About my class
