Alternative seating in the classroom will give my scholars one more way to take ownership of their learning by using a seating tool that will help them focus their extra energy. One size does not fit all for seating in schools! By using KORE Wobble Chairs my active third graders will have the opportunity to learn and still move at the same time. According to the KORE website, "wobbling on a KORE Chair increases blood to the brain and thereby quiets the requirement for fidgety kids to move." School districts that have implemented Alternative Seating in their classrooms have seen students' overall grades improve, their students seem happier and more engaged in their learning, and their students are participating more and having more invigorating conversations. This project will make a huge difference to all of my scholars by reducing the amount of time I will spend redirecting any who are off task because their naturally active bodies need to move!
