Our school is nestled in a fantastic, but severely underserved community. As a school with Title I designation, at LEAST 40% of our population comes from low-income families. My request, if fulfilled, will go directly to fund our "Clay for Kids" initiative. As a local artist and first-generation college student, I can personally attest to the need for young people to experience a robust arts program. This funding will allow students an opportunity to immerse themselves into a fun, challenging, and rewarding project in which clay is the most vital component. Students will learn about the use of clay as well as create a finished piece to take home. It is my sincere belief that we can uplift young people through the arts. Thank you so much for considering our learning community!
