Kindergarten is such an indispensible school year where young scholars are establishing themselves as lifelong learners. My goal this year is to establish a love of reading from day one. Reading is knowledge, and knowledge is power. I want my young learners to have a classroom library that promotes literacy growth and a loving connection with books. Unfortunately my students come from lower income families where not many resources are provided to them. Our schools are also not in the best condition and we have a shortage of materials. Because of this, my school does not have a library. I'd like to create a classroom library that is inviting, and is a place my students want to be. I want to fill it with amazing books that inspire my students to become lifelong readers. I hope that you will donate to our classroom project of encouraging a love of reading in kindergarten! We appreciate you so much!
