Our school is located in an extremely impoverished area. The students are eager to learn in an environment that is welcoming, but also structured. Their interests lie in sports, music, fashion, and generally, having fun! Many of my students love to read, especially at places other than their desks. Part of my job is providing them with books of their interests and instructional levels, but also with places to read quietly and comfortably.
