I strive to make our 8th-grade science classroom a place where students are challenged and inspired to discover the world around them. We are a public K-8 charter school rooted in project-based and expeditionary learning whose middle-grade students focus on the pillars of community, responsibility, empathy and wonder. We have a wonderfully diverse student body that reflects a variety of strengths and challenges. Our school has a very high rate of students with exceptional needs who find that our whole child approach to learning creates a safe yet ambitious learning environment in which they can reach their highest potential. We also have students whose needs fall on the opposite side of the spectrum and find that our school lets them explore their academic passions and creativity with genuine care and support.
