These books and Lego kits will continue to enhance the print-rich and hands on activities in the school library that I strive to create. The school library is a place that my students really enjoy-I read on the carpet to them, they complete work there, and they read independently! Every student book STEAM kit that is placed in the school library is treated with love and care, and they are thankful for the opportunities to read and use their minds and hands to build and apply their knowledge. All of these books and Lego kits have been chosen with my students in mind-I have watched them the past few weeks learn about simple machines in the classroom and I have also asked them what type of books and activities they would enjoy reading and take learning to the next level. With these new books and Lego kits, my students will be able to learn about all of the different facets of simple machines a books and Lego learning kits that will allow them to read independently and apply real world experience by creating and using Lego simple machine kits. The best way to increase understanding of the learning goals is reading and creating. These books and Lego Simple Machine kits will continue to help my students grow stronger in reading and creating. My students already have shown an astonishing interest in independent reading and building. This project will only help enrich their experiences with the printed word and hands on activity.
