My students are what make teaching a joy for me every day. They are bright, eager and motivated to learn. They are fighters and overcomers, choosing to pursue their education in spite of serious challenges and obstacles in their lives. Our school is like a family for many--a safe place where they are loved, accepted, believed in, and challenged to dream big and work hard. Many students have had negative experiences in traditional classrooms and so I try to make science engaging, hands-on, relevant, and FUN! I love my students, my school, my job.
