My students are amazing! They face many physical, academic, and social challenges daily. Yet, these students take adversity as opportunities to learn and grow. Resilient, determined, hard-working, and charismatic are just a few words I would use to describe my kids. However, the most fitting adjective I have found is inspiring. These students inspire me and motivate me to work harder, keep trying, and remain positive. The tasks that most people take for granted, such as walking, speaking, self-care, reading, writing, and expressing emotions can be difficult, seemingly impossible at times, for my students. However, giving up is never an option for them. One of the most magical sights is to see the pure joy and pride illuminate my children's faces when they accomplish a task. This is what keeps me coming back every day. All children deserve moments like this.
