I am in need of a new laptop to better support and communicate with my students during remote and hybrid learning. Although my current computer has served me well over the past years, I've noticed that it's laggy, especially when my camera is on while I'm presenting. I can only have a certain number of tabs open at one time before everything freezes and restarts. A MacBook Pro will offer my students, parents, and I multiple opportunities for engagement and interaction during this time of distance and Hybrid learning. This will allow me to effectively deliver lessons to my students, even from a distance, and provide real-time feedback. Having access to updated software will allow me to create more engaging video lessons and run multiple programs at once without the added wait time. Remote learning comes with its own set of challenges, one of them being technological difficulties. From tabs not loading to Google Meet glitches, and having a computer that works consistently and efficiently would help relieve some of the stress during this time as well as help me to better my practice.
