These ipads will help to provide engagement for my young learners while also helping them to develop technological skills! As the technology in our society continues to grow, so does our need for understanding how to use it. We also now have fantastic resources for education available to us because of this growth! Our district has some wonderful programs that we use to monitor our student's progress and encourage them to reach learning goals. These programs are fun and engaging for the students while they are also incredibly helpful for the teachers as another way we monitor progress and identify learning needs.
We will be able to use these technological tools in our classroom in so many ways! Not only will our iPads be used for district programs, we will also use them to practice all other skills. My students will be able to listen to and respond to stories, which will provide another way for them develop comprehension skills. We can take pictures with our iPads to show understanding of a topic and then compare them as a class. Students can search for videos on the animal they want to present for our class science project. The iPads can be used for identify sight words, practicing letter and number formation, sorting shapes, sizes and colors. The possibilities are endless! Having these tools in our classroom will be a huge help in engaging my students and encouraging growth in this techno growing world.
