I am asking for twelve pairs of headphones to accommodate the kinesthetic and auditory learners in my classroom. Classrooms that incorporate the freedom of movement have higher yields because teachers are better able to tap into their students' strengths. The headphones will allow my students to work on the go while blocking out other sounds and distractions, to create and explore, and enhance their learning in the classroom. My students will be using headphones as they work on a combination of intervention programs- for those who need additional reading and math practice, and for independent work as they research and express learning without distractions from their classmates. Headphones add learning and focus. Facilitating the varying intelligences in my classroom will be enhanced by the addition of headphones for my students to use as they work independently around the room in a way that's accommodating to their learning styles...on the go!
