I aim to create an exciting and safe environment my students look forward to joining every single day. Routines, organization, and a comfortable learning space can give them something they can count on. However, Fall quarter is the toughest time for them because the air conditioning does not extend to the half of the building where we are located. Middle Schoolers are practically the size of most adults and try to stay engaged even though our classroom becomes intolerable by lunch time. It proves to be very challenging to concentrate; the 2 crank out windows are in the back of the room and the other windows do not open. Therefore, the heat is trapped in there with us. I make a 5 gallon container of drinks with electrolytes and allow them to come up and get what they need. Any help with funding this project is greatly appreciated!
