Welcome to Ms. Walker's MIddle School Literacy class! I teach students who are passionate about learning, but are 90% economically disadvantaged and do not have access to educational resources. Many of my students are new to the country and are struggling to learn the English language, while others are emotionally challenged because they reside in shelters, are in foster care, or have experienced multiple personal traumas. All of my students have the potential to succeed and will do well when they are given access to technology and other necessary resources.
