My amazing students are in a Title I elementary school in Duncan, Oklahoma. They face the same challenges as any student in our district, but on top of those challenges, they also face challenges that accompany lower socioeconomic communities. Most of my students lack educational experiences outside of the classroom. Once they leave the school grounds, many of them do not see, hear, or think about academics until they come back to school.
