These materials will make a difference because my students will be given the chance to express themselves freely. We will be using art as a form of expression as well as relaxation and consistency in an ever-changing world. I want each child to have the chance to work on free art using paints, canvases, sketchbooks, different mediums, etc. On the supplies list, I have combined the materials for our first art project as well as many other choices for students to use for free art such as coloring/drawing materials and other fun projects for them to express themselves freely. We will also be working to help better our community by bringing it together using art and by showing our school and community pride. I want my students to be able to express themselves while helping their community. Our first project will involve creating mosaic stepping stones that will list our 5 good habits (courage, responsibility, persistence, respect and collaboration) throughout the school and will be placed on the school grounds for everyone to enjoy.
