The purpose and overall mission of Stage Left Theatre is to make theater arts a safe and accepting place for all 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th grade players at Walker & Buford School while making it accessible to any student who wants to participate; to enable young people to gain an appreciation for the arts, and to increase self-confidence, self-esteem, and a sense of responsibility by providing an opportunity for children to participate in dramatic activities and performances. We engage this mission through participating in workshops, taking field trips, putting on productions, appreciating excellence in theatre, and by supporting and investing in each other through our goals: explore theater art, perform theater art, recognize excellence in theater art and to enjoy, affirm, and encourage each player Support our SLT Theatre Arts Department and over 80 students bring live theatre into homes! The purchase of these GoPro cameras will allow us to live stream our productions and events right into our family and communities home! While we rely solely on grants, fundraisers and donations, a huge part of us being able to continue to tell our stories, has been and will continue to be you. Our funding is currently low due to the COVID pandemic and not being able to perform so we are asking and needing you, the supporters, more than ever to help us pull this off.
