The STEM bundle will allow my first grade students have more opportunities to explore abstract concept in a Science lesson, especially my students are learning Science in Chinese. It takes time for them to build the vocabulary and scientific concepts. For example, the force and motion packet in the bundle can help lower grade students to have a better understanding of friction, gravity and acceleration by playing with it. I believe STEM bundle can improve student's learning and deeper students understanding by teacher modeling and explanation in Chinese. Students also can experiment with their peers. The science time in elementary is limited. Students are not having enough time to explore and elaborate scientific concepts. With this bundle, younger students may have more chance to play and hand-on what we taught in a science lesson. STEM professions should start at early age. STEM bundle makes my little scientist shine in the classroom. 120 carpets will be a daily interactive way to help first grade student to build their number sense. They can count up with the carpet. They can learn how to skip count with it. It is a real size of 120 chart that I can play with my students each day.
