My students have multiple disabilities that require a more restrictive environment, thus we spend more time together in our classroom than most of their peers. They have special needs that require more attention. Every item purchased through DonorsChoose will provide a flexible, comfortable space to better help each child meet their goals. Kids learn better when all of their needs are being met. My students sometimes need a place to decompress, a chair that moves with them while they learn, or a comfy place to curl up and rest while they read. Textures, separate spaces for each individual, and a place that feels safe and secure are all very important to helping my students succeed. We have traditional desks, but our class does not always include traditional learning. I would love to provide them a space conducive to learning for all abilities. Each child is unique and they deserve a place that celebrates and embraces their uniqueness.
