My school is a beautiful, almost 100 year old neighborhood school. My students are beautiful children who have experienced loss, homelessness, poverty and strife. Yet, they are resilient. Many of my 18 students come from homes where English is not their first language. Emerson is a caring community that includes all children. They learn to be accepting and tolerant of others, though they struggle with basic needs being met at home. My students love to learn, sing, read and play games. My job is to make them college and career ready. With your help, I can make a bigger impact.
