The nonfiction reading materials I have selected will provide my students with options when they are immersed in the nonfiction reading unit. Students will benefit from various nonfiction reading materials because they will utilize these books for several months. My students need access to a wealth of nonfiction books to raise their oral language skills and academic potential. Having these books means that students can choose informational books they want to read as the unit progresses for their research projects. These books will enhance the learning environment because our classroom library lacks nonfiction books.
