My students are enthusiastic, intelligent 4th graders from a variety of ethnic and cultural backgrounds in California. Seventy five percent are on the free and reduced lunch program, but that does not fill their appetite for knowledge and the love they have for learning. Many of the kids are still working on being proficient with the English language. As a group, my students love to perform, create and invent new ways to show and share what they are learning in all subjects, though most would say Science and Social Studies are their favorite subjects. All are delightful individuals who bring humor into our class everyday and a hopeful promise for the future!
