Scholastic magazines open children's eyes to the world around them. The magazines will engage my students and serve as another resources for building reading success! My students will enjoy the brightly colored pictures, as well as, have the opportunity to explore text features in Scholastic Magazines. The magazines will help expand my students' vocabulary and build their background knowledge while targeting Kindergarten standards and essential reading skills. The magazines integrate math, science, and social studies in a way that excites the students' interests and makes reading fun! The magazines will be sent home so that the parents and child can talk about what they read in class each day. They will help provide a home and school connection that will excite students.
