Our classroom is a home away from home for my students and me. We spend 8 hours a day together learning, sharing, and working together. For many of my students, our classroom is a break from the challenges, anxieties, and struggles they face. Creating a positive, safe, and comfortable space is an important part of supporting the growth and learning of my students. The carpets will help give our classroom a positive feel. We will do much of our whole group learning on the carpet together, creating a sense of community where we can share, explore, and learn together. My students also need a comfortable space for them to dive into their books and escape into the story they are reading and create a love of reading. These carpets will help create a positive, colorful, and comfortable home away from home!
