My students come to school excited to learn everyday. What would make a big difference for them would be increased choice in types of seating. This would give them the opportunity to try out different work spaces and allow them to discover what type of seating works best for their individual learning. Research has shown that students learn best when they are actively engaged, comfortable, and have choice in their learning environment. Some of the seating options that this project would support include: wobble stools, exercise balls, fidget bands, etc. This project will make a world of difference for all 22 students this year and for years to come. Our classroom environment will significantly improve when student choice and comfort is increased. I am so excited to see the positive changes in our classroom once our project is completed.
