My students are hard-working and motivated. They are very energetic, and many of them could benefit from movement breaks in class. I would love to give them different seating choices. They have asked me many times if they could sit on different spots in the classroom or have other seating options instead of their regular chairs. Unfortunately, it is all we have at the moment. I strongly believe my students would be able to better focus on their learning if they have more than one seating option. I want to be able to provide them with a more comfortable learning environment and support more opportunities for movement and collaboration. Flexible seating gives students more choices when learning in the classroom.
