Students spend a lot of time seated during the school day. I would like to get some flexible or alternative seating options within the classroom for them to choose from. Rather than sitting in a hard, traditional chair; they might choose to sit on an exercise ball, in a bean bag chair, or criss-cross with a lap table. Attention and focus increase markedly when students are comfortable. The colorful and attractive options for students will give them the freedom to work in a manner that is comfortable and productive. Flexible seating provides an outlet for burning off extra energy, assists in making the classroom a comfortable and desirable place to be, and is just fun!
