In our ever changing world, I know they will need basic computer literacy and media training to successfully navigate the academic and personal challenges they face. From running a small business, to working for a major cooperation, to promoting causes on social media, students need experience creating content and getting hands on with media. Producing their own content enables students learn how to responsibly create and consume media culture. By donating to our project you will not only be helping students get real world experience in media production, you will be enabling "pretend" and "imagination" to return to the middle school classroom. Becoming hands on with media production and news will also teach my students real world skills, open career paths, and spark life-long passions.
