My students will be able to express their knowledge in creative ways. While we will still do writing in the Language Arts class, there are other ways for students to demonstrate their mastery of the work. Letting students have many ways to show that they know will make them feel like they are able to succeed in your class. They will draw settings as we read Little Mermaid. They will build their own Grendel as we read Beowulf. They will create story cubes as we read short stories. I would love the ability to allow students to connect with our readings and what they're learning in a more hands-on way in a classroom that isn't always hands-on.
