5th grade is a time of exploration and connecting what we learn in the classroom to the real-world. The explorers in our classroom are a diverse group of learners; we have multilingual learners, students from various backgrounds, and mix of different ethnicities. One common factor in our classroom is that learning is student centered. Throughout the week you will find our students debating central idea, supporting their thinking in math through visuals or manipulatives, and raising chinook salmon. Exploration is essential to learning!
